Executive Meetings

The Local Executive meets once a month

  • to discuss concerns and issues affecting Members;
  • to help support and manage the Local;
  • and brainstorm to bring the best representation to our Members.

Conferences

The Local Executive travels to various Conferences to represent the Local and its Members. Your Executive brings back the knowledge gained and helps make the Local stronger. As well, your Executive fights to Local better by representing its Members with ideas and Resolutions for these Conferences.

These Conferences are

  • Regional Conference – where all Locals of  NCR meet to discuss issues, concerns, ideas and accomplishments of each Local.
  • Human Right Conference – where your Human Rights Representative will bring forth Human Rights issues affecting Members
  • UHEW Convention – where your Local Executive participates to:

– bring change in the Component by UHEW By-Laws;
– new needs for members and ideas not in the Collective Agreement through resolutions for the PSAC;
– and elect a new UHEW National Office (President and Vice President).
